A Clarus Environmental Fusion® Series Treatment System shall be used to treat either raw wastewater or septic tank effluent. The treatment system shall consist of 4 chambers: sedimentation, anaerobic, aeration, storage, with an optional disinfection final chamber. All materials must be non-corrosive in the septic environment. The treatment system shall be designed to be installed in a typical, residential / commercial environment. The treatment system must be capable of treating residential-strength sewage without the need for a preceding septic tank. The system shall have two types of media; anaerobic and aerobic in order to provide a stable environment to ensure that strong bacterial colonies remain in place and alive even after high flow events. The media shall provide a stable home for beneficial bacteria to colonize. The media shall also serve as a filtration mechanism. A recirculation process shall promote the retention of beneficial bacteria as well as the reduction of suspended solids in the effluent. The anaerobic media shall be of a spherical-skeleton type construction (4.3" [109.2 mm] diameter). The aerobic media shall be of a finned, tubular construction (0.6" [15.2 mm] diameter and 0.55" [14 mm] long). All treatment media shall have a standard lifetime warranty against breakdown or replacement.
